"Prance today, cry tomorrow." 

 The FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Trans and Agender)-focused MARICAS night was named Resident Advisor's worldwide party of the year for 2024 - a seismic honour that was marked by the three main organisers behind the party, ISAbella, Eloisa Blitzer and Gina Guasch sitting down for a lengthy and very interesting chat with the site for an episode of its RA Exchange podcast series. There they expanded with much glee on their self-described status as a "loving and pervy LGBTQIA+ techno collective" and thee past, present and future of a party created in 2018 when the trio "decided it was time to create a fun space for queer women and nonbinary people in their city … revealing in its ascent how much of the techno scene - even in its queerest corners - continues to cater to men".

The seventh birthday of the party therefore demanded to be celebrated in style, and the crew have more than stepped up to the challenge. A party of two halves, the first (from 7pm to 11pm) takes place at Casa Montjuic and will feature a live set from Bella Báguena, plus DJs Verushka and Yozy. The festivities then move to Nitsa (11.59pm to 6.30am), where ALBAL and acidheaven go b2b alongside sets from ferrari rot, IS-A-SCANDALO and ISAbella b2b THC b2b DHC. Tickets are sold separately for each part of the celebration, and are still available for both.
