Miel de montagne
By Charlotte Stace
French musician Miel de Montagne comes to Sala La Nau to perform for fans. He tells the listener about himself through electronic-infused pop productions, singing about his rural family life, romance, a love for skateboarding and his friendly canine companion.
In his debut album, he talks about the life and strife of someone figuring out life in their mid-twenties. Hits like ‘Pourquoi Pas’ and ‘Permis B Bébé’ gained him millions of streams on socials which was magnified during a nationwide tour culminating in a successful, sold out show in Paris.
His new album Tomber pour toi (2024) maintains childlike wonder and freedom amidst adulthood, which sees him grappling with existential voids, and upholding authenticity as a means to truly live. The 11 tracks artfully traverse his emotional spectrum - from melancholy to introspection, they exude a yearning for adventure.
