Music for expectant mothers
By Charlotte Stace
Calling all the city’s expectant mothers - L’Auditori has something very special up its sleeve for you. Its new musical event, A Morning of Music for Expectant Mothers, invites anyone who is expecting to enjoy a morning of music and educational workshops.
Organised by the Director of the project, Anna Roig Dolz, she believes in the importance of sharing educational and enjoyable moments of listening to and experiencing music as a family before birth.
This session has been created to guide expectant mothers through the process of musical immersion as a family and to provide them with information about the importance of listening to music during pregnancy. The session consists of three parts: A 30-minute talk from María Pérez entitled “The importance of music in human development”; a workshop lasting 1 hr 15 mins; and a 30-minute concert featuring Araceli Godina (voice and guitar), Santi Serratosa (percussion), and Anna Roig Dolz (piano and voice).
