No(w) Beauty

Four musicians from the underground Parisian jazz scene come together to form No(w) Beauty. They are Hermon Mehari (trumpet), Enzo Carniel (piano), Damien Varaillon (double bass), and Stéphane Adsuar (drums).
Led by the Kansas City trumpeter, Mehari, he went over to Paris as a young musician and dived straight into the local scene. After a few months, he’d met the members of this group and they’d begun making music and performing at local venues.
The group’s sound draws on influences as diverse as classic and contemporary jazz, blues, French music and hip-hop, amongst other genres. For them, “there’s a bit of everything, but with an osmosis process that we consciously seek”. The group released their debut self-titled album last year to critical acclaim.
