Noah Lennox was one of the two founding members of the legendary experimental pop group Animal Collective, and remains a key member, alongside his equally beloved solo work as Panda Bear. As both Animal Collective and Panda Bear are very "Primavera Sound" bands, it's a surprise to learn that Lennox hasn't played in Barcelona since 2018, and even more of a surprise to learn that tickets are still available for this show in the relatively intimate Paral-lel 62 venue.

Lennox actually released his first album as Panda Bear in 1999, before Animal Collective took shape, but it was 2007's Person Pitch that sealed the psychedelic/electronic project, with all its glorious, lush harmonies, reverb-drenched vocals and intricate sampling techniques, in the public imagination. Last month he released a powerful and adventurous new album, Sinister Grift, and it will be a pleasure to see Lennox back on the live stage in Barcelona, armed with such strong new material.
