Picasso Museum Online
By Charlotte Stace
Housed in Palau Aguilar, the beautiful 13th century palace, the Picasso Museum houses more than 4,000 artworks by Pablo Picasso. Opening in 1963, this museum explores the artist’s long-lived relationship with the city and exhibits private collections of his work.
However, like other museums and galleries at this time, it is closed until further notice. Yet, this shouldn’t stop you from marvelling at the masterpieces lying within. Fortunately, the museum has put together a vast online catalogue of Picasso’s best works, from his early drawings, through to his Blue Period and beyond.
A 360-degree tour of the preserved Medieval architecture of the palace is also included in the virtual tour. What’s more, the museum’s Twitter page has started the hashtag #MuseuPicassoVirtual to update anyone interested with daily doses of the artist’s work.
