Postdrone + Ashrar + Jehia

A thoroughly interesting night in prospect here as Casa Montjuic and No_Stone bring three artists from the underground experimental electronic music scene of Cairo, Egypt. Headliner Postdrone has so far released two excellent albums of dub and jungle-influenced productions, and for more than a year now has hosted the unmissable FAK AGZA2 show on London's NTS radio.
Also on the bill is Ashrar, who will play a live show of his experimental compositions, which he has been developing over a number of years and which make heavy use of field recordings and unusual sound design. His sound is a vibrant distillation of beautiful ambient soundscapes and harsh frequencies and drum patterns, and it should translate into a memorable live show. Completing the trio is Jehia, a DJ born in Cairo but based in Barcelona who has built a name on the scenes of both cities with a DJing style that blends darkness with vibrant beats and abundant positive musical energy.
