Ben Sims is first and foremost known as a hugely influential figure on the UK techno scene, with a hard-hitting, technically precise style honed over three decades and heard on scene-leading labels such as Drumcode, Hardgroove and Theory Recordings. So synonymous is the Sims name with hard-edged techno, in fact, that he found it necessary to create the Ron Bacardi alias to cater to his love for house and disco, and that's the side of Sims' musical proclivities that will be on show at this night at Les Enfants, which should kick off the holiday weekend in style.
