San Miguel Biergarten returns to Poble Espanyol with the city’s favourite excuse to raise a glass and briefly pretend that Barcelona has turned into Bavaria. Now in its 18th edition, this boozy beer festival descends upon the venue’s Plaza Mayor, with long tables, live music, and plenty of cheers-ing.

The event combines beer and gastronomy, bringing over 20 varieties of beer, German-style food and a programme of tastings, workshops and games for anyone who wants to learn more about German beer culture. You’ll get to try frankfurts, bratwurst and new beers - what’s not to like? And, to top things off, there’ll be a selection of DJs keeping the atmosphere going late into the day.
