Soundit Plaza: Helena Hauff b2b Mor Elian, Or:la b2b Pariah
By Kit Macdonald
SoundIt Plaza continues to be the best day-party game in town, with a fabulous list of DJs and producers lined up for their new season, reasonable ticket prices and a beautiful location in the former bullring, Plaza Monumental. This instalment leans heavily into b2b DJ sets, and it will be very interesting to see how the four much-loved DJs involved spark off each other.
Following warm-up sets from Lux Lisbon and Lucient, the first b2b of the evening will feature Or:La, the Northern Irish mastermind behind the Deep Sea Frequency and Céad labels, and Pariah, aka Arthur Cayzer, an Englishman in Amsterdam also known for his long-standing Karenn collaboration with Blawan.
The second b2b brings together Hamburg native Helena Hauff, who found fame a decade or so ago as resident at the city's legendary Golden Pudel and purveyor of raw, EBM-informed DJ sets, and Mor Elian, who has based herself in London and Berlin in recent years and runs the excellent Fever AM label.
