The CCCB brings a new debate to Barcelona this month. With the help of Serielizados, they will take a trip to Suburbia, exploring the American television series that have fed popular culture globally. The conversation will be led by Robin Green, writer and executive producer for The Sopranos and Northern Exposure.

From family sitcoms in houses on tree-lined streets to high school series and intimate dramas in domestic spaces, the suburban landscape is one of the most common settings in television. This talk will explore some of the landmark TV series that have shaped the American dream through this idyllic image, as well as the fictions that reveal the dark side of the suburban utopia.

Furthermore, Robin Green will share some of the experiences included in her memoir The Only Girl (2018), where she tells the story of her beginnings as a journalist at Rolling Stone and her time as a screenwriter.
