The Black Room is hedonistic, sexy and full of hot, up-for-it boys who know how to party. This is the only gay Sunday night party in Barcelona worth heading to, and it’s one of the best of the whole weekend.

There’s music from regular circuit DJs and local talent, in the form of classic, funky and deep house. The club is medium-sized, with low-level lighting, sexy red lights from the floor, stage and bar, and even sexier bar staff and shows from go-gos and strippers.

It may sound sleazy but it’s very friendly with a great mix of locals and tourists. Upstairs there’s a cruising area and the club’s motto, “You gonna fuck on Sundays” is pretty accurate. If you want action, you’ll get it. The policy on girls keeps changing: sometimes they’re welcome, but on other, “sexier” nights they’re charged double entry fee, so €30 instead of €15.
