Though the two-time Oscar-winner won't be onstage for this show, Hans Zimmer has poured much into The World of Hans Zimmer: A New Dimension, curating, producing and preparing an entirely new selection from his dizzyingly varied collection of sheet music for this symphony-orchestra performance, conducted by Gavin Greenaway.
In the words of the "Hollywood rebel" composer himself: "In this new show I aspire to preserve orchestral culture and allow the public to rediscover the unique nuances of symphonic music." Greenaway is a trusted collaborator and friend of Zimmer's, and will help bring to life the works of the man behind the soundtracks for films such as Dune, James Bond: No Time To Die, The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, The Last Samurai and Top Gun: Maverick in the sumptuous environs of the Palau Sant Jordi, with gigantic, immersive projections of many corresponding film sequences electrifying the experience further.
