Ubaldo

With international live acts largely absent for the next week or so, now's the time to get out and enjoy some of the best the local scene has to offer. Ubaldo certainly falls into that category: it is 10 years since Andreu G. Serra played his first live show, and since then he has developed, through countless concerts and a dozen or so releases, a sound that has been pretty accurately described as " a harmony of melancholic whispers, water rhythm, buried sentences and trembling guitars contrasted with mellow atmospheres and luminous acoustic passages"
.Ubaldo has prepared a special and intimate live show just for this date at Casa Montjuic in which he will largely play unreleased songs in "the rawest format possible: guitar and voice". Most of the tracks will be from Receptacles, an upcoming album that Serra has been working on for several years. Three fixtures from Ubaldo's "second home", the record store Discos Paradiso, will support. Dichas will open in warm and relaxed style and Stein & And close the night with a b2b of set ambient and atmospheric electronica.
