Yard Act

British rock band Yard Act comes to Sala Apolo this month. Hailing from Leeds, the group consists of James Smith, Ryan Needham, Sam Shipstone and Jay Russell.
Initially, the group released four singles independently, which they then compiled onto the EP Dark Days in 2021. Then came their debut album, The Overload, in 2022. It debuted at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and gained them a spot on the BBC’s Sound of 2022 shortlist for "ones to watch". They released their second album Where's My Utopia? earlier this month and are now embarking on a new European tour to promote it.
Their combination of the angular mood of post-punk with the expansive character of Britpop makes for a truly unique musical experience. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost 22 Euros.
