Bold
By Michael Mueller

This tiny burger bar in Sant Martí, near Clot, has been feeding the neighborhood since at least early 2024, with a menu of smash burgers, frankfurts and fried-chicken sandwiches. Bold occupies a small shop on Carrer Xifré, where customers order at the counter and most of the seating is a handful of little tables on the sidewalk. Inside, there’s room for perhaps a stool or two.
The house Bold Burger packs two smashed beef patties, 80 grams apiece, into a Martin’s potato roll with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles and Bold sauce. The rolls come from Pennsylvania, and the kitchen uses them for every sandwich on the menu. One customer prefers the potato roll to brioche. Customers praise the fried-chicken sandwich as well as the burgers, with seasoned fries on the side.
Customers describe the service as friendly and quick and the little shop as cozy. Orders are also available for delivery. Bold serves dinner only.
