Through a collection of pieces from the Center Pompidou, CaixaForum’s new exhibition reflects on the past and present of the relationship between art and nature, between culture and science.

The exhibition proposes a journey through the art of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st through a dialogue between different creative languages surrounding art and nature. In this era, with its multiple crises, nature as we know it is in danger of disappearing. Therefore, the need to reconsider our links with the world that surrounds us is crucial.

The exhibition presents eighty artworks from the collection of the Musée National d'Art Moderne – Center d'Art Georges Pompidou, with an important presence of artists from recent decades who have contributed new points of view. It offers painting, sculpture, photography, design and architecture in a journey structured in four thematic sections: metamorphosis, mimicry, creation and threat.
