Between Two Patios
By Charlotte Stace

Fundació Joan Miró welcomes a new exhibition, entitled Between Two Patios, that concludes the celebration of the 45th anniversary of Espai 10 and Espai 13, and serves as an introduction to the exhibition that commemorates the Fundació’s 50th anniversary.
As part of these events, the Fundació presents three reconstructions of outstanding exhibitions by young female artists from the 1970s and 1980s. Three representative projects in chronological order have been selected: the exhibitions of Fina Miralles (1979), Susana Solano (1980) and Eva Lootz (1986).
The phrase “Between Two Patios” refers to the architectural characteristics of the Fundació Joan Miró's old Espai 10. Now converted into a gift shop, this area of the gallery was an open space with large windows on both sides overlooking the Olive Tree Patio and the Carob Tree Patio.
