Black Mountain

The Canadian psychedelic rock band Black Mountain comes to perform for fans at Razzmatazz this month. Hailing from Vancouver, the band consists of Stephen McBean, Jeremy Schmidt, Adam Bulgasem, Amber Webber and Arjan Miranda. While their music falls mainly under the genre of psychedelic rock, they also toy with the genres of space rock, prog rock and alt/indie.
Since coming together in 2004, the group has gone on to release five LPs, Black Mountain (2005), In the Future (2008), Wilderness Heart (2010), IV (2016), and its latest, Destroyer (2019); two EPs and a number of singles, mostly on the Jagjaguwar label.
Pitchfork describes their latest record, Destroyer, as an album that was ‘conceived and sequenced as a soundtrack to an epic desert road trip’. The perfect summer soundtrack, you don’t want to miss them performing it live.
