Clone Records Pop-up Store Barcelona
By Kit Macdonald
The Dutch techno and electro label Clone, which celebrates 30 years of operations next year, are old hands at creating a buzz around their annual Sonar Week pop-up record store. That it takes place in what is already one of the city's buzziest bars certainly doesn't hinder that effort. Carrer de Joaquin Costa's 33/45 in Raval is the venue for this three-day bonanza of top-quality vinyl, merch and a highly impressive cast of guest DJs.
Thursday's guests are local hero John Talabot and a mystery second artist from his Hivern Discs label, Mad Miran and Peder Mannerfeld. On Friday SABI, Ryan Elliott, Christian Browne and Serge, the benevolent dictator of the Clone empire, roll through, while Saturday's guests are Frits Wentink, Marvu, Ed Warner and Fabio Vinuesa. The store is open from noon to 8pm. Keep an eye on Clone's Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/clone.nl/) nearer the time for more info on additional guests and set times.
