Kazy Lambist
By Charlotte Stace
If you thought French Touch was a fleeting electronic music style from the late 1990s and early 2000s, think again. The genre lives on through a new wave of French artists, with Kazy Lambist at the forefront.
Hailing from Montpellier, Arthur Dubreucq (known professionally as Kazy Lambist), has become a master of electronic music. Though he was just a toddler during French Touch's first wave, he has clearly done his homework. His 2018 debut album, 33 000 Ft., instantly won fans over with its smart electro-pop.
Like many of his peers, Lambist started his musical journey online, sharing songs and videos that quickly made him a rising star in the French electro scene. Now, he's back with his second album, Moda, where the Mediterranean serves as a symbolic thread. The result? A panoramic, sophisticated and hedonistic sound that balances elegance with pure listening pleasure.
