Kids of Grime
London-based Italian photographer Verena Stefanie Grotto documents the UK’s grime scene, which mixes underground elements from garage, dancehall, drum ‘n’ bass and hip hop. Under her platform Kids of Grime she captures moments with artists as they play, record, party – all serving as an ambassador in order to bring grime to “countries who know nothing about the music and culture.”
Tonight she’s here on that mission, supported by her sisters-in-spirit at lamono magazine, presenting a series of works at Guzzo. Photos of Pusha T, Wu-Tang Clan, Newham Generals, The Underachievers and P Money represent the true attitude of grime.
