La Paloma presents: Fantastic Man, Egyptian Greyhound, Yotu Meneo

House sounds from the sophisticated, sensual and melodic end of the spectrum will be the order of things at La Paloma on Saturday, with local and international co-headliners and a fine local support DJ in Yotu Meneo, whose talents have taken him through the booths of La Terrrazza, Pacha, Macarena, Rachdingue and Zutz since he belatedly started focusing on music in 2018.
"Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder" is the simple tagline adopted in recent years by Germany's Fantastic Man, aka Melbournian DJ/producer Mic Newman. The Fantastic Man alias was started as a tongue-in-cheek vehicle for Newman's edits in 2011, but has thoroughly transcended that now, and Newman is at his best when channelling a trippy brand of house befitting said tagline.
Local co-headliner is Egyptian Greyhound, aka Telexketch, who for the past several years has been honing a DJ and production style that employs a diverse house palette including progressive and Balearic strains bathed in piano melodies, breaks, and fine acid lines that pay equal homage to Ibiza and the UK.
