La Sra. Tomassa
By Charlotte Stace
The Catalan-Canarian group La Sra. Tomassa epitomises the fun and energetic Latin party spirit. They mix Latin American rhythms (timba, salsa, guagancó) with reggae, funk, trap and electronica to produce an electric sound.
They exploded onto the Spanish music scene with their debut album Corazon, Bombo y Son in 2014. Over the last ten years, they’ve released five studio albums, two live session albums and a raft of hit singles and EPs. They’re back with their most recent record, 1040 (2024), which they’ve recorded over the last three years in various places around the world while travelling, performing and enriching their music.
The group's high-energy fusion music has earned them legions of fans the length and breadth of Europe, particularly in their homeland of Catalunya where they now come to perform at Razzmatazz. This gig promises to be a fun-filled night and well worth checking them out if you’re new to them. Tickets on sale now.
