Memento XS

If you’re looking for an alternative to the weekend club scene, Monday nights at Macarena are the answer. The tiny but perfectly formed venue plays host to Memento XS every Monday, with Memento Records cofounder Idriss D programming the lineups.
Idriss D is an emerging talent on the Italian dance scene and well known for his hypnotic house and techno style, which he brought Barcelona at the beginning of this year. Past guests have included Detroit techno legend Carl Craig and Claudio Coccoluto, one of the original Italian house DJs.
As Idriss explains, “I started Memento XS because I was looking to create a party where the music comes first. It’s not about thousands of people, but the small and intimate space of Macarena where you get to meet people you didn’t know were already your friends.”
