One for the football fanatics, founded in 1928, Monopol Sports Club has dedicated its existence to football. After a closure during the Civil War, it was refounded in 1943. Years laters it opened a football school in 1983 and later created spaces for table tennis and table football. During football matches, this cosy bar still draws in plenty of local supporters.

Sitting proudly on Rambla del Poblenou, the venue serves as a bar and neighbourhood social club where various leisure activities are held for young and old. These include football tournaments, vermouth parties, craft markets, concerts and even book clubs.

With a traditionally Catalan feel to the place, you can try some of the authentic Catalan tapas, such as a range of tinned seafood, pan con tomate, botifarra, and patatas bravas. Or, try one of their signature hamburgers and wash it all down with a beer or vermouth.
