Isaac Delgado
By Charlotte Stace

Cuban icon Issac Delgado comes to Sala Apolo with the kind of voice that can turn a dancefloor into a love story. He’s smooth, romantic and perfect for salsa lovers. A major figure in modern Cuban music, he’s long been celebrated for the way he blends classic Latin warmth with the swing of timba.
A pivotal moment in his career came in 1991, when he formed his own orchestra under the guidance of acclaimed pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, launching a new era of sound and ambition. He later won the EGREM Award with his debut album Dando la Hora (1992), cementing his status as one of Cuba’s best-known singer-songwriters.
Now he’s back on tour with his latest album Mira como vengo (2025), a record that pulls together the sounds that have defined him: timba, salsa and bolero-chá, and even a final burst of conga rhythm. Don’t miss this icon performing live.
