Kiko Veneno
By Charlotte Stace

One of the greatest figures in Spanish music, Kiko Veneno has moved through flamenco, rock, pop and something looser and harder to define, always with a restless and unmistakable voice across decades of work.
His story stretches back to the 1970s, when he formed Veneno with brothers Rafael and Raimundo Amador. Their 1977 album Veneno is now widely regarded as a landmark of Spanish music, and Kiko later deepened that legacy through his collaboration on Camarón de la Isla’s groundbreaking La leyenda del tiempo (1979). Born in Figueres, raised in Cádiz and later based in Seville, he drew on both flamenco tradition and wider influences picked up while travelling through Europe and the US.
Now’s your chance to catch him performing live. Tickets cost 33 Euros. Doors open at 8pm.
