Mostra FIRE!! returns as Barcelona’s landmark LGTBIQ+ film festival, bringing together bold and politically charged stories from across the world. Organised by Casal Lambda and running since 1995, it is considered Spain’s first LGTBIQ+ film festival, with a focus on auteur cinema, diversity and films that open up new ways of seeing.

The 31st edition unfolds under the evocative theme A Thousand and One Queer Stories, with a particular focus on Arab and Persian cinematography. It comes with a curated programme of features, documentaries and shorts, alongside cultural activities and an industry section supporting new LGTBIQ+ audiovisual projects.

This year’s lineup includes The Crowd by Iranian filmmaker Shand Kabiri, the short-film session One Thousand and One Queer Stories, and titles such as Three Centimeters, Queer Exile, Let My Body Speak and Hi Mom, It’s Me, Lou Lou. More than a film festival, FIRE!! is a meeting point for cinema lovers, activists, artists and curious viewers.
