Rulo y la Contrabanda
By Charlotte Stace

Rulo y la Contrabanda, led by Raúl "Rulo" Gutiérrez, comes to perform at Paral·lel 62. This tour marks their return after a five-year hiatus, offering fans an intimate, acoustic experience and a chance to see these guys live in action once more. Filled with theatrical elements, the stage design for the performance places the band in an old railway station, complete with a station master, bustling travellers and vintage suitcases that come and go.
Rulo began his musical journey in Reinosa, Cantabria, forming his first band, Suizidio, in 1992. He later achieved prominence with La Fuga, recording six albums and performing extensively. Later, in 2010, he set up Rulo y la Contrabanda, and together they went on to release multiple albums and toured internationally. The band's current lineup consists of Karlos Arancegui on drums, Quique Mavilla on bass, Dani Baraldés on guitar, and Adolfo Garmendia on guitar.
