Summer cinema for all the family
By Charlotte Stace

This summer film programme, “Little, middle and big”, takes place at the CCCB every Saturday over summer. The programme brings together pieces by artists using various techniques to explore, on the one hand, the interplay between proportions and different sizes and, on the other, the relationships between species.
Highlights include: Gargantuan (UK, 1992), an illusion revealing a tiny amphibian as a “dinosaur”; Matrioska (Canada, 1970), an enchanting dance of hand-painted Russian dolls; Animal Movie (Canada, 1966), where a boy’s imitation of animals leads to an other-wordly spaceship adventure; Bead Game (Ishu Patel, 1977), a colourful animation of multiplying beads; Tigeris nau nau (Latvia, 1967), a cautionary cat tale; and Who am I (USA, 1988), celebrating sensory discovery through interactions with animals.
Entrance to all screenings is free.
