The exhibition, The Berlin Wall - A World Divided, presents a comprehensive and immersive look at the era of the Berlin Wall Erection, the decades of division and the eventual fall of the barrier that split Berlin. The show asks whether we are still living in a divided world and positions the Wall as both a powerful historical symbol and a continuing caution for democracy.

From the moment the Wall went up, the exhibition traces its creation, the human stories of separation, escape, repression and protest, and the eventual collapse of the system that sustained it. It does so through more than 200 original objects, including fragments of the Wall itself and personal items used to communicate or smuggle across, pulled together from over 20 international institutions.

The narrative is structured around three viewpoints: the geopolitical confrontation between East and West; the personal experience of families, neighbours and friends divided; and the global dimension of the Cold War conflict.
