Bogart
By Natasha Drewnicki
It’s time to dust down your dancing shoes. In the upper echelons of Eixample, a foot-stomping locale is bringing big-band music back into the limelight in time for boisterous spring revelry.
The silver-screen glamour of Bogart reaches far beyond its name. With a majestic stage and lofty ceilings, this space boasts a capacity of over 150 diners (and up to 300 for parties), but gently twinkling lights and an interior garden add an intimate touch. Musicians entertain diners with live jazz, pop, funk and soul several times a week and the kitchen matches the musical offering with equally bold flavors.
Try the spicy rack of lamb, lobster tartare or prawns with fennel cream, timed to finish just as the evening show gets underway. Three-course lunch menus (without show) are available for €12.50; book online to avoid disappointment.
