Casa Martino
Few Barcelona pleasures compete with those of a leisurely afternoon spent sipping vermouth and munching on local delicacies. This vermutería recovers the tradition to a T. The vintage décor recreates a neighborhood tapas bar, one where you’ll be served by proprietors Belén and Juan Martino themselves.
The rich vermouth that flows from the tap pairs perfectly with the house-marinated anchovies or mussels. Try their 1714 montadito that combines sardine, sun-dried tomato & pickle on dark bread, caviar or tapas like roasted potatoes, grilled artichoke and cured ham.
A small glass of vermouth costs €1.90, a glass of wine €1.50 and a bottle of beer €2. On Saturdays they serve fresh oysters. Sip in the sun and start your weekend right.
